Make Good – Terms and Conditions
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before transferring payment. Once a completed booking form has been accepted in writing by Make Good Ltd and payment has been received, all persons named on the booking form will have entered a binding contract based on these terms and conditions.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
1. Definitions
"Make Good" refers to Make Good Ltd.
"The client" refers to the person or persons named on the booking form.
"Booking form" refers to an official Make Good Ltd booking form.
2. Agreement Arises Upon Fulfilment of the Following:
a) Receipt by Make Good of a properly completed booking form, accompanied by the specified payment or deposit.
b) Clearance of the payment or deposit into Make Good’s bank account.
c) Make Good reserves the right, at its absolute discretion and without the need to give reasons, to refuse to accept a booking. In such circumstances, no agreement arises, and Make Good will return any payment accompanying the booking form.
d) The agreement is between Make Good and the client and is the sole agreement between those parties. No variation of these terms and conditions shall be applicable unless agreed in writing by Make Good before the relevant event.
e) The person submitting the booking form is deemed to sign that form for themselves and as an agent for all other persons listed on that form, and warrants that they are authorised to do so.
f) The agreement is governed by the laws of the Isle of Man.
3. Payment
Payment should be made in full at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed in writing. A deposit option is available, which is fully refundable until 4 weeks before the event. After this date, cancellations are non-refundable.
4. Cancellation by the Client
If the client cancels their booking (for any reason), the following cancellation charges will apply:
a) Cancellations more than 2 weeks before the event start date – 50% of the fee will be refunded.
b) Cancellations less than 2 weeks before the event start date – no refund will be given.
The client acknowledges that this policy is necessary due to Make Good needing to make preparations for an event (including securing necessary resources) well in advance.
5. Cancellation or Alteration of an Event by Make Good
Make Good events are outdoor experiences and subject to natural variables, including weather conditions. While every effort is made to accommodate these factors, there may be circumstances where Make Good is forced to cancel an event before it starts, sometimes at short notice. In these cases, the client will be offered:
A full refund (minus a small booking fee that cannot be reclaimed), OR
A transfer to a comparable event on another date.
In rare cases where an event has to be cut short after it has started, the client will be offered an opportunity to participate in a similar experience of comparable duration at a later date, at no additional cost.
If Make Good determines that an event does not have a sufficient number of participants to proceed, we reserve the right to cancel and will offer either a full refund or a transfer to a future event.
The client acknowledges that Make Good cannot be held responsible for losses arising from cancellation or changes due to circumstances beyond our control.
6. Code of Conduct
Personal Safety & Participation
The client agrees that they are responsible for their own safety, ensuring that they are physically and mentally capable of participating in the event. If there are any concerns about suitability, the client is encouraged to contact Make Good prior to booking.
Make Good requires clients to disclose any relevant medical, physical, or psychological conditions on the booking form. If this information is not provided in advance and it becomes apparent during the event that the client is not able to safely participate, Make Good reserves the right to ask them to leave in the interests of their safety and that of the group.
Consent & Confidentiality
Make Good events emphasise a culture of affirmative consent. This includes obtaining consent for:
Physical contact
Taking photographs
Sharing personal information
Any other activity involving another participant
Any personal information shared during an event will be treated as confidential unless there are safety concerns. The client agrees to respect the confidentiality of other participants and to only share information with the Make Goodteam if there is a concern for someone’s wellbeing.
Respect for Others
Make Good is committed to creating an inclusive and respectful environment. We welcome participants of all backgrounds, abilities, identities, and lived experiences. As part of the event, the client agrees to:
Treat fellow participants with respect and consideration.
Refrain from offensive, discriminatory, or harassing behaviour.
If a participant is unable to uphold these standards, Make Good reserves the right to require them to leave the event.
Challenges & Group Dynamics
Make Good events involve shared group experiences. In the event of interpersonal challenges or conflicts, the client agrees to engage in open communication with others in the group to reach a resolution. If a client is unwilling to do so, Make Good may ask them to leave if their presence negatively impacts the wellbeing of the group.
7. Liability
Make Good events take place in wild, open countryside and involve natural hazards. While every effort is made to minimise risks, the client acknowledges that accidents may occur and that they are participating at their own risk.
a) Make Good accepts liability only for physical injury that is proven to result from negligence on the part of Make Good.
b) Make Good is not responsible for any other loss or damage, including but not limited to:
Loss or damage to belongings
Additional expenses due to cancellation
Delays in transport or accommodation
Clients are advised to take reasonable care of their personal belongings and to arrange personal insurance where appropriate.
8. Insurance
